This topic is so interesting, i think not only for me, but you could be interested also... I am thinking about it for 3 days and 3 nights and still didn't find the right ansver. So i turned here to your experiences and opinions.

Do the snakes fart?

Lol? no. I doubt that. They do relieve themselves, but it's not like that.

They do, you should know snakes are known for their farts.

Hmm... I'm very glad I'm not the only one struggling with this question. However, there's something even more complicated I've been trying to figure out for ages. The question is: Supposing that snakes actually fart, do the ladders fart too?

I'm glad that someone took the initiative to ask this live important questions. Personally I think that humans and snakes have more in common than we think, so I think they fart too, now I'm still wondering if they burp too and how their ways to releave their gasses sound :)

if snakes are deaf, how can Harry Potter talk with them then? Do they read his lips?

In that particular world, the snakes could heare, or so I believe, since they even have their own language, if I remember rightly. Unlike the real world when snakes aren't so fantastical.
