1. el-soldadito-de-plomo,

Hello everyone. In the hispanic section of playroom, under the forum "suggestions and coments", a user has suggested the addition of a feature that would allow you to delete a message you accidently posted. Here is the link of the topic: http://qcsalon.net/en/forum2000000/topic128951.
We know that there is an edit feature that you can write something like "message edited by its autor." Our idea, however, after discussing with other users, is that when you realice you have send a wrong message, you have 1 or 2 minutes to delete it pressing shift f10 or aplications, and then those messages could go to a recycle bin for only helpers to Access. Please let me know if this would be a practical idea to implement. Thank you so much, enjoy your day and weekend! Happy holidays.

5. ZafiroJesus,

Hello, everyone.
This is ZafiroJesus, the creator of the suggestion in the Spanish room.
First of all, I’d like to thank The Tin Soldier for passing the suggestion to the English room. Much appreciated!
But adding something extra to the function: how about removing the time limit for deleting messages? Just like in WhatsApp.
In WhatsApp, there’s a time limit to edit a message, but not to delete it.
Now, let’s see if the great Aminiel shows up and delivers the final verdict!

6. Bartemius_Crouch,

appear, take advantage. I don't want to give my suggestion as to whether they can say that you can help someone from an ilo or who appears, an option already known as your ilos where the ilos you create are.

7. Nikola,

Hello,
personally I can agree with this suggestion but only with a short time limit like 5 minutes or something similar as already mentioned in the first post.

Now, you may say, but why such a short limit? Well, that's because the main use I see here is as listed, you posted something in a completely wrong topic, something totally out of place, so just get rid of it.

However, if you posted something controversial, it started an argument, 5 people disagreed with you, so tomorrow you decided, I will just delete this and pretend nothing ever happened, this is just causing confusion and now all these replies to your post are completely irrelevant.

It's true, you can already do this by just editing your message, but at least here we have a visible trace, a clear indicator that the poster edited something, and the time of the edit. Even in platforms allowing you to delete your messages such as WhatsApp, the message won't completely disappear, you'll see that there was a message once but it was deleted.
Either ways, we shouldn't fully compare with platforms such as WhatsApp in this case, mainly because those are instant messaging platforms, people often type in a rush, messages are instantly read, and you potentially have tons of contacts and groups to manage at once. On the other hand, this is supposed to be a forum, and without intending to offend anybody, you should think a little before writing and sending your message, read what you wrote, and finally click send to post it. There is no need to rush anything, there are countless times where I wrote a reply intended for a particular topic, decided that it doesn't sound as good as I want and finally ended up posting it tomorrow, next week, or never if I've had a feeling it's not that useful/someone else already more or less said what I wanted to.

Naturally, mistakes happen to everybody, so that's why I said the initial suggestion isn't that bad. Either ways, even if it isn't implemented, you can talk to the helpers of your language if you made a mistake and posted something in the wrong topic, then the irrelevant message can be removed, so with a little communication, it's already possible.

8. el-soldadito-de-plomo,

@Nicola, you are the man! You just stated absolutely everything I have missed in the first post, and not only that, @zafiro-jesus, I don't think we should compare platforms like the playroom to an App such as watsap. It is completely irrelevant. Thank you so much for Reading this forum and hope this idea is inplemented or otherwise talk to helpers in our language as Nicola just stated. best regards and happy new year.

9. Sandokannn,

Hello!

I noticed that some friends from the Spanish Playroom posted here, so I thought I’d contribute my two cents… or maybe not, lol.

I agree with the suggestion, as long as it aligns with what @Nikola proposed.

That said, I’d like to suggest adding a feature to pin messages within the client. For example, User X could pin their own post in a thread, ensuring it always appears at the top regardless of which page others are viewing.

If User X deletes their account or stops participating for any reason, an helper (or perhaps another user) could pin a different message—let's say from User Z—so that User Z could continue updating the information as needed.

This would be especially useful for preventing repetitive questions, like in the Spanish Playroom, where people often miss key details from the first post simply because they don’t scroll back or check the website. It would also be great for tournaments, as we would always have the rules handy or the matchups if they’ve already been given, even if multiple pages fill up with posts of people reporting to participate, signing up for the tournament, or whatever.

As for me, I think that would be all. Sorry if anything wasn’t clear, I asked GPT to help me with the wording because my English is terrible, but it might still sound a bit confusing.

Regards!
