Hello! I'm here to make a suggestion, though I'm not sure how feasible it would be to implement. In other platforms, when we block a user, they can't send us messages, see us, or we can't see their posts. I would expect that after blocking a user, their posts in the forum would also be hidden. Alternatively, it would be helpful to have a special section to block certain people from the forum. This is because, in the Spanish-speaking section where the forum has a lot of activity, there are times when a group of people start posting very frequently, almost as if it were a free table, and it becomes exhausting to read. Best regards, and I hope something like this can be possible in the future.

5. Aminiel,
Hello,
It isn't possible to hide messages from a given person in public discussions on the forum. It would be technically doable, but practically it means that you can miss important messages completely and the discussion could become total non-sense without these messages.
If a given message is insulting or against the rules for whatever reason, it has to be hidden for everybody. Helpers have the responsibility to do it and they can also place the forum in read only mode for the offending user, i.e. he can no longer post on the forum for a while. Don't hesitate to signal to helpers if you find bad messages. There is a signal function to do that.
The same applies with public chat on a table. It was possible with IRC, but it created non-sensical situations. It was sometimes fun... but practically speaking, quite useless.
The only things we can block are private stuff, and it's already the case.
Note that, normally, the forum isn't instant messaging. Messages are supposed to be more or less well written and well thought.

6. Exink,
I have two things to say regarding this matter. Although I might sound like an old grumpy, I mention it because of the trend that some people have to feel offended easily.
First of all, it also bothers me that many people use the forum simply to post something less than 15 words in an unproductive way, and I agree that by making a blacklist of users we might miss (as of not seeing, not as the most romantic sense of the Word) anything they could post, for better or for worse. I mean, why should I see anything sent from a blocked person, if that's the point of blocking him? Of course, it could be a mess if you want to stay tuned of what has happened in a particular topic, only to find out that the conversation has no sense, because of those hidden posts.
And lastly, although I still don't understand the point of using a forum topic as a free table, (of which much hasn't been done from stopping it from happening in my opinion), what I do for this situation is simply skip the topic, and therefore not seeing posts from whoever I've blocked in the past. That's it.
