Not 100% sure, but I think it's along those lines. By the Friday Quiz, she's referring to a period during which a user created a topic every friday with a different random question that he/she would put to the playroom at large via the forum.

Not all Canadians speak English, if they are from the French part then they may not speak English. Not all Swiss people speak German for example.
