Hi list, ken with a question. in cribage why doesn't a round complete once the game score is reached. have noticed that when a player reaches the game's target score the game ends even before the second player plays hist scoring part of the game. in games I've played was out of reach anyway but if a game is closer the second player isn't able to count his points it might make a differents in the game. a round completes in 1000 miles, why not in cribage?

It's explicitely said so in the rules. The reason has already been explained in other threads, please make a search for more info.

In cribbage, it doesn't matter what the next player has or number of possible points. Once the game score is reached that's it.
