why is it when you get a double yahtzee it doesn't count it?

What do you mean by that ?

simply because the category of yatsi is already taken, and you cannot take a category twice ...

I was just wondering why there isn't a slot for extra yahtzee's or why arn't they counted is a scripting issue or just they didn't feel like putting it sorry I wasn't more clear.
