Hi all,I wonder, is it possible to somehow make the common retail copies of monopoly accessible for us blind players? If so, what would be the best way to go about it?I do have an accessible copy that I bought on Amazon when I was doing my masters in the US but it's very big and bulky; way too bulky to be carried around and so I thought, what if I managed to make the common retail copies accessible...Also, the Amazon listing for the accessible copy that I got won't ship to Thailand (or maybe overseas in general) and I almost had to leave mine behind but fortunately my parents figured out a way to bring it on an airplane on my flight back to Thailand.

2. Emerald,
The only way is if you use technology like apps such as seeing AI to read the cards. The money i guess you could mark them with braille or put a sticker of different textures. Probably for the squares, put something glued on each and memorise which property is there. For example put buttons and super glue them on the squares? Then all you have to do is link your pieces to each one. The pieces are the easiest because they’re 3d. Hope this helps.

3. YNWA,
Just play without the board if it is too big.
Years ago I did braille the money and properties.

4. supanut2000,
I seeI was thinking of brailling the board, money and properties, by basically printing braille on a transparent film/paper and then just gluing them. For the board itself I could try to make it so that each square has tactile borders, similar to basically how braille diagrams are done or something like that.

5. Emerald,
Not sure if you have this where you are but in the UK there are these things called wiki sticks. They’re like sticky sticks that are flexible and stick to paper but secure them with tape so they stay on for longer. They’re available in different colours if this matters but most of all you can do outlines, trim them etc. put them around all the squares to make an outline then yes write braille manually on cards and so on. All the best
